El CPR Plurilingüe Liceo La Paz reconoce la importancia de potenciar las movilidades internacionales de nuestros estudiantes y nuestro personal, tanto en la educación como en la formación profesional.

No había duda de que la cooperación internacional era importante. Sin embargo, en estos días hemos visto que sólo a través de la cooperación, el entendimiento y el respeto entre países y naciones se encuentran las soluciones.

Además, debido a la COVID-19 hemos visto lo importante que es estar preparados en diferentes áreas como la tecnología y el uso de las TIC. Dos áreas de conocimiento que están en continuo cambio y avanzan a un ritmo vertiginoso sin precedentes. Estos aspectos contribuyen a nuestra creencia de que la cooperación y el aprendizaje internacionales son imprescindibles para que las mentes del futuro puedan estar preparadas para el mundo que les espera.

Los intercambios y movilidades son, por tanto, cruciales y parte esencial del proceso de aprendizaje tanto de los estudiantes como de los profesionales que pertenecen a nuestra institución ya que, al realizarlos, tienen la oportunidad de sintetizar su propio aprendizaje con el logro de aprender que se logrará en una institución anfitriona.

La estrategia de nuestra escuela podría describirse de la siguiente manera:

• Involucrar a nuestros estudiantes y personal para que participen en la vida cívica y democrática,
• Conectar a personas de toda Europa y, al hacerlo, promover el voluntariado, las oportunidades de aprendizaje, la solidaridad y el entendimiento cultural.
• Promover y fortalecer las movilidades Erasmus + dentro de nuestros estudiantes y personal,
• Aumentar la conciencia del idioma,
• Impulsar la innovación en Educación,
• Promover pedagogías inclusivas y multilingües,
• Contribuir al desarrollo personal de nuestros estudiantes y personal para que puedan respetar los derechos humanos y actuar como ciudadanos democráticos,
• Buscar la excelencia en la educación,
• Abrazar el espíritu de equipo,
• Valorar el Patrimonio Cultural Europeo,
• Desarrollar competencias clave esenciales para el aprendizaje permanente,
• Desarrollar habilidades digitales,
• Estar abiertos a todo tipo de cooperación para el bienestar de la sociedad,
• Incrementar la empleabilidad de nuestros estudiantes,

Erasmus+ ofrece muchas oportunidades diferentes para internacionalizar los Centros Educativos. Por ello, y considerando aquellas áreas que queremos mejorar y visibilizar fuera de nuestra región y país, hemos decidido participar en las siguientes acciones:

• Erasmus KA1: Nuestra Institución de Educación Superior ha solicitado K103 para ofrecer tanto a nuestros estudiantes como al personal la oportunidad de mudarse al extranjero. En el caso de nuestros alumnos, nos gustaría que tuvieran la experiencia de estudiar o realizar sus prácticas profesionales en otros países para ampliar su perspectiva y contribuir a la formación de futuras generaciones en valores como ciudadanos interculturales y democráticos, y personas multilingües, de mente abierta y respetuosas. También queremos que nuestro personal (docente y no docente) pueda participar en este tipo de proyectos para mejorar sus competencias y habilidades profesionales y mejorar sus competencias lingüísticas.
• Erasmus KA2: En esta Acción nuestro colegio ha solicitado KA201 en colaboración con otras organizaciones e instituciones para desarrollar un proyecto basado en las conexiones europeas que el camino a Santiago de Compostela (uno de los caminos de peregrinación más antiguos) ha ofrecido a la nación europea. Asimismo, este camino ha sido reconocido como parte del Patrimonio de la Humanidad. Por ello, con el desarrollo de este proyecto pretendemos dar visibilidad al mismo y concienciar sobre nuestro patrimonio, así como sobre las conexiones invisibles que existen entre los diferentes países y naciones de Europa. Además, este proyecto está conectado con otros aspectos importantes de la vida como la cultura –el camino ha sido un gran difusor de la cultura desde la antigüedad, especialmente durante la época medieval en lo que respecta a las lenguas, la literatura, la arquitectura o el arte, entre otros – la biodiversidad – debido a la enorme variedad de hábitats naturales y especies que podemos encontrar a lo largo del camino que atraviesa Europa – y el medioambiente – ya que las peregrinaciones promueven una forma de viajar que no deja una gran huella ambiental en la tierra. Además, este proyecto contribuye a la inclusión porque en él participarán personas pertenecientes no solo a diferentes países sino también a diferentes estratos sociales y étnicos como refugiados o personas que han sufrido acoso. Y también esperamos poder contribuir a hacer mejoras en el camino para que las personas con discapacidad física puedan participar mejor en él.
• Erasmus KA2: Hemos decidido participar también en otro proyecto KA2 desarrollado e implementado por una organización en Polonia para promover idiomas extranjeros. Participando en este proyecto podremos dar visibilidad a lenguas minoritarias como el polaco o el gallego y, por tanto, sensibilizar hacia ellas y otras lenguas que lo sufren. Ambos proyectos KA2, el que desarrolla nuestro colegio y el que desarrolla la Institución Polaca se basan en la innovación y el objetivo de ambos proyectos es ofrecer a los estudiantes una forma más amplia e innovadora de abordar la educación mientras se conectan con la cultura, la gente y el patrimonio. Creemos que el desarrollo de estos proyectos no solo contribuirá a mejorar las experiencias educativas de nuestros estudiantes, sino que también cambiará la forma en que enseñamos y abordamos diferentes contenidos y entregamos información dentro del aula. La situación del COVID-19 ha demostrado que la Educación necesita cambiar y evolucionar. Convertirse en tecnológico pero humano al mismo tiempo y más innovador también. Todavía hay muchos caminos por recorrer y muchos caminos que aún no han sido explorados. Caminos que debemos descubrir y comprender para estar preparados ante problemas futuros similares y ayudar a los estudiantes a estar preparados para ellos también. Además, nos gustaría mencionar que estamos más que dispuestos a participar en los problemas de KA3, y nos gustaría ayudar a nuestras autoridades educativas apoyando el desarrollo de políticas y la cooperación.

Como hemos comentado anteriormente, nuestros alumnos pertenecen a diferentes estratos socioeconómicos y étnicos y no todos han tenido la oportunidad de viajar al extranjero. Cuando decidimos que nos gustaría que nuestra escuela fuera parte de la Comunidad Erasmus fue básicamente pensando en todas las oportunidades que podíamos traer para nuestros estudiantes así como para nuestros profesores y trabajadores. Al hacerlo, creemos que no solo podremos abrir las puertas de Europa a nuestros estudiantes, sino que también estaremos contribuyendo al desarrollo de ciudadanos democráticos europeos.

Durante el último par de años, hemos visto surgir diferentes movimientos a lo largo de Europa. Movimientos que, lamentablemente, difunden el odio contra grupos étnicos minoritarios u otras comunidades sociales al mismo tiempo que rompen uno de los pilares más importantes de los cimientos de la Comunidad Europea: la inclusión. Este ha sido también, y sigue siendo, uno de los principales pilares en los que nuestro Centro ha creído y se ha apoyado para su creación y desarrollo. La creencia de que siempre tendremos un lugar para cualquier persona sin importar quién sean o de dónde venga. Así, entre los impactos previstos que nos gustaría conseguir con nuestra participación en el Programa Erasmus+, uno de los principales objetivos es contribuir a lo que hemos expresado antes: la inclusión y el desarrollo de ciudadanos democráticos europeos.

Otro de nuestros objetivos y motivo para participar en este Programa es concienciar sobre la importancia de aprender idiomas ya que vivimos en una comunidad globalizada que ha crecido mucho y sigue creciendo. Es decir, aprender lenguas extranjeras y ser conscientes de su importancia será fundamental para que nuestros alumnos estén preparados para su vida profesional en un futuro próximo.

No podemos olvidar una parte esencial de los Programas Erasmus+: las Movilidades. Ellos también son otro objetivo importante para nosotros y, como ya hemos mencionado, nos gustaría ofrecer a nuestros estudiantes y trabajadores la oportunidad de mudarse al extranjero con el objetivo de desarrollarse educativa y profesionalmente. A nuestro entender, Erasmus es una experiencia de vida que ha dado forma a la vida de muchos, y nos gustaría, por lo tanto, que nuestros estudiantes sean parte de eso.

Así, partiendo de la creencia de que Erasmus es una contribución positiva para las nuevas generaciones y que ofrece experiencias para toda la vida, nos gustaría aumentar la cantidad de movilidades entre nuestros estudiantes en un 30% y entre nuestros profesores y trabajadores en otro 30%. Nuestra escuela ha decidido integrar entre sus departamentos uno nuevo centrado en Relaciones Internacionales y Erasmus+. Al hacerlo, tendremos una persona que trabaja duro para establecer y desarrollar relaciones internacionales con los diferentes países pertenecientes al Programa Erasmus+, así como con aquellos países que han sido elegidos como países socios para el mismo programa. De esta forma, nuestro Centro podrá ofrecer una gama más amplia de oportunidades educativas y formativas a nuestra Comunidad Educativa.

Asimismo, el responsable del Departamento de Relaciones Internacionales se encargará de:

– Realizar presentaciones especiales del Programa Erasmus+ adaptadas a la audiencia (alumnos y profesores).

– Evaluar a través de encuestas entre estudiantes y docentes el nivel de interés y satisfacción con respecto al programa.

– Recibir a estudiantes y docentes y ayudarlos con los trámites necesarios para sus respectivas movilidades.

– Buscar Instituciones/Empresas que se ajusten a las necesidades de la formación profesional de los estudiantes y la formación pedagógica de los docentes.

– Recibir a los estudiantes que vienen de otros países a nuestro Centro de Educación Superior.

– Organizar semanas de orientación para aquellos estudiantes de nuestra institución que se mudan al extranjero.

– Organizar semanas de orientación para los próximos estudiantes.

– Horas de tutoría online con aquellos alumnos en el extranjero.

– Horas de tutoría Face2Face para futuros estudiantes.

Además, como parte de nuestro Departamento de Relaciones Internacionales crearemos un Programa Buddy: Los estudiantes pertenecientes a nuestro Centro Educativo actuarán como mentores de los estudiantes que vienen para ayudarlos a acostumbrarse a una nueva escuela, una nueva ciudad, un nuevo idioma y país. A los futuros estudiantes les ofreceremos la posibilidad de participar en cursos intensivos de Inmersión Lingüística en Español así como la oportunidad de seguir aprendiendo otros idiomas extranjeros que ya conozcan como por ejemplo: Inglés, Francés, Alemán e Italiano.

También consideramos que, al contar con personas que trabajen específicamente en Relaciones Internacionales, podremos posibilitar relaciones positivas con otros Centros de Educación Superior y aumentar al mismo tiempo nuestra participación en proyectos de cooperación. Para llevar a cabo este deber centraremos nuestra búsqueda en aquellas plataformas que ofrece y apoya la Comunidad Europea como E-Twinning o School Gateway Education, entre otros.

The Higher Educative Institution, Liceo La Paz, acknowledges the importance of empowering international mobilities among our students and our staff regarding both, education, and professional training.

There was no doubt that international cooperation was important. However, these days we have seen that only throughout cooperation, understanding and respect among countries and nations solutions are to be found.

Also, due to the COVID-19 we have seen how important it is to be prepared in different areas such as technology and the use of ICT. Two areas of knowledge that are in continuous change and advance at an unprecedently fast pace.These aspects contribute to our believe that international cooperation and learning is a must so the minds of the future can be prepared for the world that is ahead of them.

Exchanges and mobilities are therefore crucial and an essential part of the learning process both of the students and the professional that belong to our institution as, by carrying them, they have the opportunity to synthesize their own learning with the learning achievement that will be achieved at a host institution.

The strategy of our school could be described as follows:

• Engage our students and staff so they participate in civic and democratic life,
• Connect people across Europe and by doing so promote volunteering, learning opportunities, solidarity, and cultural understanding,
• Promote and Strengthen the Erasmus + mobilities within our Students and Staff,
• Rise language awareness,
• Boost innovation in Education,
• Promote inclusive and multilingual pedagogies,
• Contribute on the personal development of our students and staff so they would be able to respect human rights and act as democratic citizens,
• Seek excellence in education,
• Embrace team spirit,
• Value the European Cultural Heritage,
• Develop Key Competences essential for Lifelong Learning,
• Develop Digital Skills,
• Being open to all kinds of cooperation for the well-being of society,
• Increase the employability of our students,

Erasmus + offer plenty of different opportunities to internationalize Educative Centers. Therefore, and considering those areas we want to improve and make more visible outside our region and country, we have decided to take part in the following actions:

• Erasmus KA1: Our Higher Educative Institution has applied for K103 in order to offer both, our students and staff, the opportunity of moving abroad. In the case of our students, we would like our students to have the enjoy the experience of studying in another country or doing their professional internships in other countries to broaden their perspective and contribute to the formation of future generations in values as intercultural and democratic citizens and multilingual, open-minded and respectful people. We also want our staff (teaching and non-teaching) to be able to participate in these types of projects in order to improve their professional skills and abilities and improve their language skills.
• Erasmus KA2: Regarding this Action our school has applied for KA201 in collaboration with other organizations and institutions in order to develop a project based on the European connections that the wat to Santiago de Compostela (one of the oldest pilgrimage ways) has offered to the European Nation. Also, this way has been recognized as part of the Human Heritage. So, by developing this project we aim to give visibility to it and raise awareness regarding our heritage as well as the invisible connections existent among different European countries and nations. Also, this project it is connected with other important aspects of life such as culture – the way has been a great disseminator of culture since old times, specially, during medieval times regarding languages, literature, architecture or art among others – biodiversity – due to the huge variety of natural habitats and species that we are able to find along the way that crosses Europe – and environment – as pilgrimages promote a way of travelling that doesn’t leave a huge environmental print on the earth. In addition, this project contributes to inclusion as on it they will be participating people belonging not only to different countries but also to different social and ethnic backgrounds such as refugees or people that had suffered harassment. And we also hope that we can contribute to making improvements along the way so that people with physical disabilities can better participate in it.
• Erasmus KA2: We have decided to participate too in another KA2 project developed and implemented by an organization in Poland to promote foreign languages. By participating in this project, we will be able to give visibility to minority languages such as Polish or Galician languages and, therefore, raise awareness towards them and other languages that suffer Both KA2 projects, the one developed by our school and the one developed by the Polish Institution are based on innovation and the aim of both projects it is to offer students a greater and innovative way to approach education while connecting with culture, people and heritage. We believe that the development of this projects will not only contribute to enhance the educative experiences of our students but also change the way in which we teach and approach different contents and deliver information inside the classroom. The COVID-19 situation has demonstrated that Education needs to change and evolve. Become technological but human at the same time and more innovative too. There are still many ways to go and many paths that have not been explored yet. Paths that we should discover and understand to be prepared for similar future problems and help students to be prepared for them too. In addition, we would like to mention that we are more than willing to participate in KA3 problems, and we would like to help our educative authorities supporting the policy development as well as cooperation.

As we have mentioned before, our students belong to different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds and not all of them had had the opportunity of travelling abroad. When we decided that we would like our school to be part of the Erasmus Community was basically thinking on all the opportunities that we could bring together for our students as well as for our teachers and workers.

By doing so, we believe that we will be able to not only open the doors of Europe to our students, but also we will be contributing on the development of European democratic citizens.

During the last couple of years, we have seen different movements rising along Europe. Movements that unfortunately spread hate against ethnic minority groups or other social communities while breaking one of the most important pillars of the foundation of the European Community: Inclusion. This had been as well, and still is, one of the main pillars in which our school has believed and has supported itself for its creation and development.

The believe that we will always have a place for anyone no matter who they are or where they come from. So, among the envisaged impacts that we would like to achieve with our participation in the Erasmus + Programme, one of the main targets it is to contribute to what we have expressed before: Inclusion and the development of European democratic citizens.

Another of our targets and a reason to participate in this Programme it is to raise awareness towards the importance of learning languages as we live in a globalized community that has grown a lot and it is still growing. Meaning that, learning foreign languages and being aware of their importance will be essential for our students to be prepared for their professional life in a close future.

We cannot forget an essential part of Erasmus + Programmes: Mobilities. They are another important target to us too and, as we have already mentioned, we would like to offer to our students and workers the opportunity of moving abroad with the aim of developing themselves educationally and professionally.

It is to our understanding, that Erasmus is a lifetime experience that has shaped the life of many, and we would like, therefore, our students to be part of that. So, based on the believe that Erasmus is a positive contribution for new generations and offers lifetime experiences, we would like to increase the amount of mobilities among our students in a 30% and among our teachers and workers another 30%.

Our school has decided to integrate among its departments a new one focused on International Relations and Erasmus +. By doing so, we will have a person working hard to establish and develop international relations with different countries belonging to the Erasmus + Program, as well as with those countries that have been chosen as partner countries for the same program. This way, our school will be able to offer a wider range of educative and formative opportunities to our Educative Community.

Also, the responsible of the International Relations Department will be in charge of:

– Carry out special presentations of the Erasmus + Program adapted to the audience (students and teachers).

– Assess through surveys among students and teachers’ level of interest and satisfaction regarding the program.

– Receive students and teachers and help them with the necessary paperwork for their respective mobilities.

– Find Institutions/Enterprises that adjust to the needs of the professional training of students and the pedagogical training of teachers.

– Greet students coming from other countries to out Higher Education Center

– Organize orientation weeks for those Students our institution moving abroad.

– Organize orientation weeks for coming Students.

– Online tutoring hours with those Students abroad.

– Face2Face tutoring hours for coming students.

Also, as part of our International Relations Department we will create a Buddy Program: Students belonging to our Educative Centre will act as mentors of the coming students in order to help them to get used to a new school, a new city, a new language and country.

Regarding coming students, we will offer them the possibility to participate on intensive Language Immersion Courses in Spanish as well as the opportunity of continuing learning other foreign languages they may already know as for example: English, French, German and Italian.

We also consider that by having people working specifically on International Relations we will be able to enable positive relations with other Higher Educative Centers and increase at them same time our involvement in cooperation projects. To carry out this duty we will focus our search on those platforms offered and supported by the European Community, such as E-Twinning, School Gateway Education.
